KARUMAL-DUMAL! 4 NA TUTA PINUGUTAN NG ULO SA SAMAL, P15K PABUYA ALOK NG CONCERNED CITIZENS

Isang nakakagimbal at nakakasuklam na insidente ang bumungad sa mga residente ng Brgy. San Miguel, Island Garden City of Samal, Davao del Norte—apat na tuta ang natagpuang patay, pinugutan pa ng ulo, at basta na lang itinapon sa isang bakanteng lote.

Ayon sa ulat ng pulisya, nakita ng isang residente ang katawan ng mga tuta na magkakatabi at malapit sa kanila ay nakalagay rin ang mga pinugot na ulo ng mga ito. Dahil dito, agad na ipinaabot sa mga awtoridad ang balita, dahilan para magsimula ang imbestigasyon.

“Sobrang karumal-dumal. Walang hayop o tao ang dapat makaranas ng ganitong klase ng pagtrato,” ayon sa Bantay Hayop Davao.

Mariing kinondena ng grupo ang insidente at nanawagan sa publiko na tulungan silang makilala at mahuli ang gumawa ng krimeng ito. Sa kanilang pahayag, binigyang-diin nila ang panganib ng pagkakaroon ng ganitong klase ng tao sa komunidad.

“Masahol pa sa halimaw ang gumawa nito. Ang isang taong kayang pumatay ng ganito kalupit sa hayop ay may potensyal ring gumawa ng karahasan sa kapwa tao,” sabi ng tagapagsalita ng grupo.

Bilang tugon, ilang concerned citizens ang nag-alok ng ₱15,000 na pabuya sa sinumang makapagtuturo o makapagbigay ng impormasyon para matukoy ang salarin.

Lumabas rin ang dating may-ari ng mga tuta at inamin na itinapon niya ang mga ito dahil may kuto, ngunit mariing itinanggi na siya ang pumatay o pumugot sa mga ito.

Ayon sa pulisya, patuloy ang imbestigasyon upang matukoy kung totoo ang pahayag ng dating may-ari at kung may iba pang sangkot sa insidente.

Isang paalala ang insidenteng ito na hindi lahat ng tao ay may malasakit sa mga hayop. Sa panahon ngayon, dapat mas paiigtingin ang Animal Welfare Act at itaguyod ang responsableng pag-aalaga. Hindi sapat ang pag-ampon—dapat may kasamang respeto, malasakit, at pananagutan.

A frightening and disgusting incident occurred to the residents of Brgy. San Miguel, Island Garden City of Samal, Davao del Norte—four puppies were found dead, decapitated, and were just thrown in a vacant lot.

According to a police report, a resident found the bodies of the puppies side by side and near them had their severed heads placed. Because of this, the news was immediately communicated to the authorities, a reason to start an investigation.

“Very disgusting. No animal or human should experience this kind of treatment,” according to Bantay Hayop Davao.

The group may have condemned the incident and are calling on the public to help them identify and catch the perpetrator of this crime. In their statement, they emphasized the danger of having this type of person in the community.

“The one who did this is worse than the monster. “Someone who is capable of killing an animal this cruelty has the potential to commit violence against a fellow human,” the group’s spokesperson said.

In response, some concerned citizens offered ₱15,000 ransom to anyone who can teach or provide information to determine the culprit.

The former owner of the puppies also came forward and admitted to dumping them because of lice, but apparently denied killing or amputating them.

Police say an investigation is ongoing to determine whether the former owner’s statement is true and if there are others involved in the incident.

This incident is a reminder that not all people care for animals. Nowadays, the Animal Welfare Act should be stricter and promote responsible care. Adoption isn’t enough—it must come with respect, care, and responsibility.
