Ayon sa imbestigasyon ng pulis, mabilis ang patakbo ng pick-up na nag-overtake pa. Hindi napansin ng driver ang kasalubong nilang motorsiklo na sinasakyan ng dalawang biktima.
Sa lakas ng impact, tumilapon ang dalawa at nagtamo ng grabeng pinsala sa ulo at katawan.
Napag-alaman na isa ring miyembro ng Philippine National Police ang driver ng pick-up na nakasalpok sa dalawa. Nasa kustodiya na siya ng mga pulis.
